This fall we had visits from two different groups of friends and they were the perfect occasions to drive south on Highway 1 to Big Sur. The California coastline is simply beautiful and majestic. We are very fortunate to live here.
On our October outing, it was a cooler day with a little rain – so we headed to the Big Sur River Inn where we could eat inside. By contrast in November, it was nice and sunny – so we drove a little further south to Nepenthe Restaurant and sat outside. It’s worthy to note that at Nepenthe I had the Shrimp BLT sandwich, one of their specialties.
On both occasions, I took my Lecia Q2 which is my “go-to” camera for travel.

We did an earlier trip in February to the Big Sur Taphouse with the local Porsche club – see https://mby.pca.org/2025-ed-havey-memorial-tour-photos/. It was the first time that I used the Nikon Z6III for an event.
